RCIA Conference

The RCIA State Conference for 2007 “UNPACKING THE TREASURES OF THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS”, hosted by the Diocese of Sale, will take place on Thursday 22nd November to Saturday 24th November 2007, at the Rawson Village Conference Centre, Rawson, Vic 3825. The Key Note Speaker is Rev. Dr. Elio Capra. Dr Capra is a member of the Systematic Theology Department at the Melbourne College of Divinity lecturing in liturgy and sacramental theology. He is a priest of the Salesians of Don Bosco.

CARRYING THE CROSS

In true Ballarat tradition, the mode of transport for one of the holiest symbols in the Catholic faith won’t be a motorcade. In a step back in time, a horse-drawn carriage provided by Sovereign Hill will be the main mode of transport for a 3.8m cross visiting Ballarat later this month.
