Teachers 4 East Timor

Coming Events

St. Mary’s Parish, Robinvale extends an invitation for former parishioners to return to Robinvale to celebrate twenty-five (25) years since the building of the Church. Celebrations commence on Sunday 2nd of December with Mass at 10.00 a.m. to be followed by a BBQ luncheon at the Golf Club. All Welcome.   

The Women at the Well group in Warrnambool have two gatherings planned for November 17 and December 1 with speakers Dr. Neeloffa Pheeman and Pradraigin Clancy.

Catechists gather in Horsham

In mid-October there was a gathering of 23 representatives from Sacramental Teams throughout the Diocese.  The gathering was hosted by Sts. Michael & John’s Parish, Horsham and took place in the Parish Centre. The ways in which our Sacramental Teams can best support the parents of the children who are participating in our sacramental programs was a theme underlying the gathering.

New Website for Sisters of Mercy

Many around the Diocese know of the work of the Ballarat and Melbourne Sisters of Mercy and may be interested in the recent launch of the new online communications facility for Australian Sisters of Mercy. The website was launched on October 17 during a gathering of Mercy Congregation leaders in Geelong. However, web conferencing facilities incorporated into the site meant that the event was also broadcast live onto the computers of Sisters of Mercy and their colleagues throughout Australia and this included Ballarat.

Refurbished Church in Warrnambool

On the evening of Friday, October 19th, St Joseph’s Church in Warrnambool was crowded as Bishop Peter Connors together with Fr. John Fitzgerald and Priests of the Ballarat Diocese celebrated the Eucharist for the Dedication of the Altar and the blessing of the renovations and refurbishments of the Church.

Journey of the Cross & Icon

The World Youth Cross and Icon travelled around the Diocese for 10 days and I was fortunate to be with it all the way. We travelled from the Murray to the Sea and back again. It was definitely an amazing week.
