Diocesan WYD Pilgrims Prepare


World Youth Day is fast approaching and many Diocesan pilgrims have been involved in formation sessions at a local level. As a culmination of this preparation, on June 13-15, 100 pilgrims from throughout the Diocese will gather in Halls Gap. During the weekend pilgrims will get to know each other, reflect on the meaning of pilgrimage and spend time preparing spiritually for Sydney. The weekend is being facilitated by NET (National Evangelization Team) from Brisbane who have enormous experience in pilgrim preparation.

Fr Denis Dennehy has been the Parish Priest based in Camperdown for the past 11 years and this year in June celebrates his 40th year of Ordination to the Priesthood. The local community decided to recognize Fr. Denis’s achievements at a number of activities over Catholic Education Week.
