We pray for the bishops and congregational leaders of Australia. May they assist in bringing a new church to birth in the aftermath of the pandemic.

We pray for all who are hungry and malnourished. May this week’s World Food Day prompt the well-fed to come to their aid.

We pray for countries at risk from more frequent and more extreme natural disasters. May they be helped to establish the emergency services they need.

We pray for welfare and support organisations facing increased demand as income supplements diminish. May the whole community give them generous support.

We pray for couples grieving the end of a pregnancy or the death of an infant. May their loss not lessen the fruitlessness of their love.

We pray for all who care for people made dependent by age, illness or disability. May they fulfil their role with patience and compassion.

We pray elected officials come to an understanding of the need for increased funding for carers.

We pray for the recently deceased Rosemary Roache, Robbie Marney, Marie Watts, John Roache, Mary Lawlor, Kevin Norris and those whose anniversaries we honour Noel Greene, Eddie and Rita Conheady, Rosalie Farley, Frs Michael Shanley and Kiniry, Brett Rentsch.

CELEBRANT: God of boundless love, you sent your Son to summon us to the banquet of life. Give us the wisdom to always accept his invitation. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
