CELEBRANT: To follow Jesus is to love with all our hearts. In union with his love let us pray for the whole human family.

We pray for the followers of all religious traditions, that their shared belief in the primacy of love might give fresh heart to the world.

We pray for the leaders of nations, that they will have the wisdom and courage they need to guide their people safely through the coronavirus pandemic.

We pray for all who faithfully put the love of neighbor into practice, that these daily Good Samaritans will sow the seeds of a new humanity.

Loving God, hear us R. Loving God, hear our prayer.
We pray aid and relief organisations around the world, that their works of mercy will bind up its wounds and bring peace.

Loving God, hear us R. Loving God, hear our prayer.
We pray for the staff and volunteers of the Church’s welfare agencies in Australia, that they will dispense the compassion of Christ across the land.

Loving God, hear us R. Loving God, hear our prayer.
We pray for migrants, refugees and asylum seeks, that they not be treated as strangers in our midst but as friends.

Loving God, hear us R. Loving God, hear our prayer.
We pray for all those whose struggle to cope was not addressed in the federal budget, that state and local initiatives will help ease their plight.

Loving God, hear us R. Loving God, hear our prayer.
We pray that our hearts are open and we are moved to loving action that supports all of God’s people. May we be inspired by hearts of mission to do something with God that supports opportunities for all to thrive.

We pray for the recently deceased Father Ilidio de Rosario Correria SDB, Carmen McDougall, Sheila Barrett, Marion Carey, James Farley and those whose anniversaries we honour Helen Evenden, John & Leila Morrissey, Annie Cofffey, Sister Jean Neagle, Monsignors Nolan and Frank McKenzie, Father Boylan, Kevin McDonough.
