Bishop Paul Bird CSsR invited Bishop Shane Mackinlay to celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in our diocese, following his Episcopal Ordination for the Sandhurst Diocese.

A wonderful celebration, commemorating 175 years since the first Catholic Eucharist in Portland, was held on November 3 at All Saints Church Portland.

The third World Day of the Poor focus on the theme “the hope of the poor shall not perish for ever”. The Church in Australia is recognising volunteers who work to bring hope to those in need. Read Pope Francis’ 2019 message for this day.
