Services to Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Ballarat are provided by Catholic Education Ballarat, along with the Catholic Education Commission of Victoria.

DOBCEL – Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited – is the company established by Bishop Paul Bird to become the governing body for parish schools in the Ballarat Diocese. DOBCEL is the result of a long-term project undertaken by a working party of the Ballarat Diocesan Schools Advisory Council (BDSAC).

Catholic Education Ballarat is committed to Catholic schools which are founded in the person of Jesus Christ and the Gospels and committed to the development of the whole person. Catholic Education Ballarat oversees a system of 53 primary schools and 11 secondary schools throughout the Diocese.
